## How the recommender works

### Tell us your volume

Enter your monthly shipment count for both your packaging and Raal-supplied packaging. Each shipment uses OPS, our usage credit system: 50 OPS for your packaging, 100 OPS for Raal packaging.

### We compare tiers

Each tier includes a yearly OPS allowance. We calculate the total cost per tier including any additional OPS you'd need beyond the included allowance, factoring in monthly versus yearly billing.

### You see the cheapest fit

The recommended plan is whichever gives you the lowest total annual platform cost at your volume. Shipping is invoiced separately at courier rate with zero markup.

## How Raal pricing is structured

### Platform fee

Your subscription covers the Raal platform: device tracking, automated customs paperwork, integrations with HR systems, the customer portal, API access, and operational support. Higher tiers include more OPS, additional features like SSO and SLAs, and lower per-OPS rates for usage beyond your included allowance.

### Shipping at carrier cost

Courier rates from DHL, UPS, FedEx, and other carriers are passed through to you at exactly the price Raal pays. We don't add margin. If our negotiated rates drop, your invoice drops. Customs duties and import taxes are also passed through at actual cost (per [§5.7 of our Terms of Use](/terms-of-use#section-5)).

### What OPS pays for

OPS (Operational Point System) is Raal's usage credit system. Each shipment consumes OPS based on its complexity: 50 for shipments using your own packaging, 100 for shipments using Raal-supplied packaging. Shipments crossing customs borders add 20 OPS for customs clearance work. Your subscription includes a yearly OPS allowance. Once exceeded, you choose between purchasing additional top-up OPS or upgrading to a tier with a larger included allowance.
